We have cultivated vegetables, fruit trees, fruits, and herbs, fostering self-sufficiency and a deep connection to the land in our homestead garden. Join Poly’s Farm in the steps it takes to create a thriving suburban homestead.
In a tray sow spinach seeds, spacing them in rows 2 inches apart, then water. Keep the soil moist but not waterlogged. If you’re using artificial lights, spinach plants need 8–10 hours of light per day.
After germination, to prevent bolting when sowing spinach indoors, maintain a consistent temperature of around 60-70°F (15-21°C) and move to a shadier location or reduce the hours of light if needed. Also, opt for slow-bolt varieties of spinach.
